Abstract: The talk will begin with the U.S. and global macroeconomic outlook, focusing on the outlook for inflation and interest rates. The second part will discuss a reconsideration of fiscal policy in what was until recently an era of low interest rates and has now risks turning into an era of inflation. Finally, will discuss the implications of these developments for small open economies.
